Prey Model Raw (PMR)

The prey model raw (PMR) is feeding only whole prey without feeding grains, fruits, or vegetables which offers a more natural way of eating, similar to how a canine would eat in the wild. Ancestral Raw Nutrition believes in the prey model diet and provides the best quality meats for your pet.

Some pet owners feel that vegetables and fruits add nutrients to their pet's diet and that it is necessary to add supplements for their pets nutrition. Not necessarily.

At Ancestral Raw Nutrition, we feed our own pets a PMR diet because science tells us that the nutrients your pet needs that is found in plant material is found in the meat, bones, and organs of the prey canines hunt in the wild. Therefore, it is unnecessary to feed your pet anything other than a raw meat diet. Additionally, some canines lack the digestive enzymes that break down plant material. It is also believed that feeding vegetables and fruits may stress the pancreas causing it to create more enzymes in an attempt to digest these foods, and if you are feeding fruits and vegetables you may be feeding the yeast in your pet which may be causing some of the many chronic conditions pets have like ear infections, hot spots and other skin conditions which end up costing you more money at your local veterinarians office.

Food for thought.
